Match Officials for RBS 6N 2017

The Championship opener between Scotland and Ireland on Saturday, 4 February in Edinburgh will be refereed by Romain Poite of France. Angus Gardner of Australia will oversee the clash of England, the current RBS 6 Nations Champions, and France on the same day and JP Doyle will take the whistle in Rome as Italy host Wales on Sunday, 5 February to finish off the first round.
Wayne Barnes, JP Doyle, Jérôme Garcès, Glen Jackson, John Lacey, Pascal Gauzere, Ben O'Keeffe, Nigel Owens, Jaco Peyper, and Mathieu Raynal have also been given matches for the year's Championship.
On 'Super Saturday', Gauzere will take charge of the opening match between Scotland and Italy at Murrayfield with Barnes looking after France v Wales. Garcès, also of France, will take charge of Ireland v England in Dublin, the last match of the 2017 Championship on Saturday, 18 March.
Poite and Garcès, along with England's Barnes, have received two appointments each with a total of 12 referees involved. New Zealander O'Keeffe and France's Raynal will make their Championship debuts when they take charge of Italy v France in Rome and England v Scotland in Twickenham, respectively, on 11 March.
O'Keeffe (27) refereed his first of three full internationals in June of this year while Raynal already has 10 Tests under his belt, most recently in October when he took charge of the Ireland v New Zealand match in Chicago.
The appointments were decided at a recent meeting of the World Rugby Match Officials Selection Committee.
