With it the USA, Canada and Uruguay are now ranked 17th, 18th and 19th in the world. Ten places between Uruguay is Chile who gained one place to rise to 29th by virtue of Portugal being badly defeated by neighboring Spain on Saturday. Spain occupy 22nd in the world, behind Rugby World Cup 2015 participants Namibia. Rankings will next be on the line on March 23 when Trinidad & Tobago play host to Jamaica in a Rugby World Cup 2019 qualifying fixture. Trinidad & Tobago enter the fixture ranked 8th in the Americas, a much higher position than that of Jamaica who occupy 16th spot.
